Radiation-induced changes in the structure of an epoxy resin

Creators

Description

The changes in structure caused by electron irradiation of epoxy resin samples have been examined using UV and IR absorption spectroscopy. The formation of carbonyl, peroxide and diphenyl ethylene groups, diphenyl ethyl cations and radicals have been observed. Possible radiation processes responsible for the formation of these groups are put forward. (author)
