Some space-charge effects in electron cooling devices
Creators
- 1. Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Novosibirsk (Russian Federation)
Description
The method of electron cooling uses an energy exchange between ions and electrons, both moving with the same average velocity in a special section of the ion ring. The interaction between the ions and electrons leads to the various effects on the properties of the ion beam
