Atomic structure features of sillenite crystals as probed by Raman spectroscopy

Description
The first Raman study of single crystals with sillenite structure Bi12MxO20±δ (M=Ga, Fe, Zn, Tl, B, P, V, AlP, GaP, FeP, ZnV) at 77 K is reported. It is shown that the Raman spectra and X-ray diffraction data provide the basis for identification of structural features of sillenites appearing after isomorphous substitution of elements in oxidation states other than +4 for M cation. Interatomic distances are estimated for Bi24B2O39 and Bi36ZnV2O60 crystals, the structural details of the compounds being determined
Abstract (Russian)
Впервые исследованы спектры комбинационного рассеяния монокристаллов со структурой силленита Bi12MxO20±δ (M=Ga, Fe, Zn, Tl, B, P, V, AlP, GaP, FeP, ZnV) при 77 K. На основании анализа спектров КР и рентгеноструктурных данных показана возможность идентификации структурных особенностей силленитов, возникающих при изоморфном замещениее катиона M элементами в степени окисления +4. С помощью спектров КР оценены межатомные расстояния в кристаллах Bi24B2O39 и Bi36ZnV2O60 и установлены структурные особенности этих соединенийAdditional details
