The standard head phantom for dosimetry and the study of dose distribution analysis, 2

Description

A digital dose analyzing system was developed by rapidly digitizing film density, which is two-dimensionally distributed by a laser scanner, and by obtaining radiation dose distribution using a microcomputer, with the gold of determining exposure doses rapidly and precisely. Overlapping the head contour in a phantom with density distribution made it possible to identify the position and area of the head or organs and to digitize radiation doses and their distributions in various patterns, such as isodose curves, color display, and three-dimensional display. In addition, a newly developed digital dose analyzing system allowed the determination of statistical radiation doses in the organs or voluntarily assigned tissues, and the easy multidimensional dose distribution analysis.
