The high temperature phase transition for Φ4 theories
Description
We investigate the temperature dependent effective potential for N-component Φ4 theories with a new method based on averages of fields. The effective three-dimensional running of couplings at scales much below the temperature is described. We obtain a detailed quantitative picture of the second order phase transition, including the critical exponents for the behaviour in the vicinity of the critical temperature. (orig.)
