Studies of the binding sites of Escherichia coli ribosomal protein S7 with 16S RNA by ultraviolet irradiation

Description
The covalent cross-linking of the tryptic peptides of protein S7, from both E. coli B and K strains, to Escherichia coli 16S RNA is investigated. The binding sites and the peptide sequences were determined. The peptides T10, T12, T22 and T25 are found to be linked to the 16S RNA by UV irradiation
