Description

We point out a spectacular jet plus electron signature of t-quark production at anti pp colliders via W boson decay W -> anti tb with subsequent b -> jet, and anti t -> anti be#betta# decays. The b jet momentum transverse to the beam has a jacobian peak near psub(T)(b) = (Msub(W)2 - msub(t)2)/2Msub(W); this jet is expected to be highly collimated. Electrons from anti t-decay occur with large momentum components normal to the b jet in the plane transverse to the beam. Both the b jacobian peak and transverse momanta of the anti t-decay fragments can be used in making further determinations of msub(t). (orig.)
