Description
The paper presents the principles applied during the design of a control system for the refuelling machines for Heysham 11/Torness AGR power stations. The procedures adopted led to a control system which meets the present day safety requirement for plant operating in the nuclear field. The design approach resulted in four channels of control with a total of over three thousand inputs and outputs. (UK)
