Improvement of Neutron Irradiation Technology Using Capsule
Description
The objective of this research is to improve the capsule irradiation technology of fuels and materials for commercial nuclear reactor and develop the irradiation and evaluation technology of advanced fuels and materials for future nuclear reactors in HANARO, which is unique in Korea. To achieve this purpose, an irradiation technology at low and high temperatures, an evaluation technology for fast and thermal neutron fluences, and a long term irradiation technology for high neutron fluence were developed and an instrumentation and evaluation technology for characterizing of nuclear fuel and material performance was established. In addition, an neutron irradiation and evaluation technology of advanced materials for the development of original technology of advanced materials using neutron irradiation was developed
