SYS air shower experiment at Mt. Chacaltaya
Description
The age parameters S were determined with accuracy 0.05 for each air shower from the lateral distribution of shower particles. With the comparison between the age S and burst size under 15 cm Pb, it was shown that the age S can be used to study the longitudinal development of air shower. Moreover, the integral size distribution of air showers was discussed in conjunction with large burst accompanied with air showers, from a standpoint of fluctuation of air shower development
