Model Adjustment and Intelligent Controller Design for Synchronous Generator of a PWR for CHASNUPP through Simulation Experiments

Description

Mathematical model of the synchronous generator of PWR is developed in state space from using first engineering principles approach. System matrices are generated using original machine parameter in MATALAB. Internet stability of the model is analyzed using eigenvalue analysis. Two closed loop simulation models are developed in MATLAB SIMULINK environment using PI controller and NN NARMA neuro-controller. Simulation results are analyzed and compared and it is found that the performance of an intelligent controller is better both in transient and steady state conditions. The proposed intelligent controller has excellent grid disturbances rejection tendency and stability. (author)
