Description
The aim of the work presented is to investigate the sorption of Cs(I) on illite from a mechanistic view point. This work is a part of a wider program which already successfully allows to develop a near-mechanistic understanding and modelling of the sorption on montmorillonite. The presented study demonstrates that Cs sorption on illite can be successfully and fully modelled with a 3 sites cation exchange model. (A.L.B.)
