Radiation polymerization of vinyl chloride in the presence of anionogeneous emulsifiers
Description
The effect of the concentration of a solution of an emulsifier, which is below the critical concentration of micelar structure formation, dose rate, temperature, pH value of the medium, and the starting emulsion concentration on the process of radiation-induced emulsion polymerization of vynil chloride has been studied. It has been established that the rate of polymerization increases with the dose rate to the 0.5 power. At a dose rate of 70 r/s, the radiation-chemical yield (G) is equal to 8x104 M/100 eV. The value of G increases as the dose rate decreases. The temperature dependence of the polymerization rate is governed by the Arrhenius equation
