Size distribution of particles formed due to molten fuel drop-coolant interaction

Description

Expression for particles size distribution by the melt droplet dispersion through streamlined liquid is obtained. The model is based on development and interruption of tangential instabilities on the droplet surface. The applicability of the above expression in case of bath fuel element dynamic destruction due to the pulse energy release and the melt discharge into the water is shown. 10 refs., 4 tabs., 1 fig
