10 years experience with a large computerized TLD-personnel monitoring system

Description
Filmdosimetry service was replaced by a computerized automated TLD-system at the Institute for Radiation Protection of the Austrian Research Centre, Seibersdorf 10 years ago. Presently more than 13.000 radiation workers are monthly monitored by three automated TLD readers linked to the computer centre. The paper describes the hardware and software systems and the experiences gained in long-term routine operation. (author)
