Description

The first few moments of the wave functions for Δ's and Ω are evaluated by QCD sum rules. Model wave functions are constructed based on these moments. Perturbative QCD predictions of cross sections for γγ → Δ++anti Δ++ and γγ → Ωanti Ω are obtained by integrating the quark scattering amplitudes over these wave functions. The ratio of γγ → Δ++anti Δ++ and γγ → panti p cross sections is much lower than would be naively expected. Predictions for γγ → B8anti B8 are also given for the full baryon octet with QCD sum-rule wave functions. (orig.)
