The significance of the Debrecen cyclotron from scientific and practical aspects
Description
The main points of selection, investment and planned application of the first Hungarian cyclotron in Debrecen are reviewed. The project based on a Soviet made U 103 type cyclotron was launched last year and operation will start in 1985. The main application fields of the cyclotron in addition to the basic nuclear research namely the nondestructive testing, the isotope production and the irradiation for medical purposes are outlined.
