Radiation standards
Description
In connection with the national radiation standards, standardization of ionizing radiation and radioactivity has been reviewed. Ionizing radiation in its many forms is used in an increasing number of ways to help solve important problems of our technological society. The radiation is emitted from radioactive atoms which have radioactivity. Knowledge of the existence of ionizing radiation and radioactivity is very recent, even when considered within the span of recorded history. (Author)
