Transport container for nuclear wastes

Description

The transport container for casks filled with wastes has a cuboid shape and consists of steel-reinforced concrete. It has a cap on the top and can be moved on wheels. The casks are fixed in the inside room by means of supports to prevent their striking around, whereas the supports can be operated from the outside of the container. The casks are transported with the container to the final deposit. The transport containers can be used again. (DG)

Abstract (German)

Der Transportbehaelter fuer mit Abfall gefuellte Faesser besitzt eine Quaderform und besteht aus mit Moniereisen verstaerktem Beton. Oben weist es einen Deckel auf. Er kann auf Raedern bewegt werden. Die Faesser werden im Innenraum mittels Festlegern gegen ein Herumschlagen gehalten, wobei die Festleger von ausserhalb des Transportbehaelters bedienbar sind. Mit dem Transportbehaelter werden die Faesser zum Endlager befoerdert. Die Transportbehaelter sind wiederverwendbar. (DG)
