Description

The review describes the present-day state of the problem of the origin of the main component of cosmic rays observed near the Earth. Attention is paid primarily to diffusion galactic models with halo, within the framework of which questions of chemical composition and electron component in cosmic rays, and also galactic synchrotron radiation are discussed. The authors draw the conclusion that the models with a great halo, which give the characteristics age of cosmic rays to be of order of 1a8 years, are supported b n radio ranges and, at least, do not contradict available data on chemical composition of cosmic rays
