A study on radiation damage of BaF2 crystals by positron annihilation technique
- 1. China Univ. of Science and Technology, Hefei, AH (China)
Description
The changes of positron annihilation parameters of BaF2 crystals irradiated with different doses have been studied. The lifetime of positron annihilation and the one-dimensional γ angular correlation curve varied after irradiation, which indicated that the structure of BaF2 crystals had changed to some extent. The properties of the damaged BaF2 crystals can recover and the recovery becomes faster when BaF2 is exposed to visible light, especially ultraviolet
