This Code is intended as a guide to safe practices in the use of sealed and unsealed radioactive sources and in the management of patients being treated with them. It covers the procedures for the handling, preparation and use of radioactive sources, precautions to be taken for patients undergoing treatment, storage and transport of radioactive sources within a hospital or clinic, and routine testing of sealed sources

Ce Code est destine a servir de guide en ce qui concerne la securite de l'utilisation des sources radioactives scellees et non scellees pour la protection des patients. Il traite des procedures qui doivent etre observees pour la manipulation, la preparation et l'utilisation de sources radioactives, des precautions a prendre en ce qui concerne les patients sous traitement, du stockage et du transport de sources radioactives dans les hopitaux ou cliniques, et enfin, du controle courant des sources scellees
