Policy response to the new oil market conditions: the case of Iraq

The efforts undertaken over the last few years by Iraq to increase its export flexibility in response to falling oil prices and the effects this has on its national energy policy are considered. Similarly, some examination of Iraq's role in formulating an oil pricing policy through its membership in OPEC that is consistent with the interests of the world community for economic development and energy transformation beyond the oil era is also briefly highlighted.
