Multiplicity of gamma transitions in the sup(176)Yb(sup(16)O, xn)sup(192-x)Pt reaction

Description

Multiplicaties of gamma quanta in the sup(176)Yb(sup(16)O, xn)sup(192-x)Pt reaction have been measured. Energy of incident 16O ions was changed in 95-141 MeV limits. Multiplicity of gamma quanta has been measured using systems of multiple integral coincidences. Gamma quanta with multiplicities of p=1-4 have been measured at ion energies of 95.5, 113.5, 118.5 and 141 MeV. Analysis of experimental data was carried out on the base of calculations made according to the statistical model and the GROGI-2 program. Change of the mean nuclear state moment calculated has been used in order to obtained information on the mean angular momentum value in a compound nucleus. Results of measurements and calculations are tabulated. Values of multiplicity are in the limits of 11-20 that corresponds to 13-22 transitions in a cascade. It is shown from calculations that a mean value of angular moment carrying away by a neutron is equal to 0.74+-0.10 and is not dependent on the energy of incident ions. The mean value of compound nucleus angular moment is not practically dependent on the energy of incdent ions and is approximately equal to 33 h/2π
