Dependence of drifting subpulse energies on a installations drift velocity

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Fizicheskij Inst.

Description

With the purpose of the study the dependence of drifting subpulse energies of a pulsar on an instantaneous drift velocity, the data of PRS 0809+74 observations are analyzed. It is shown that the difference and the ratio of energies of consecutive subpulses for PSR 0809+74 increase on the average with increasing instantaneous velocity of their drift. The ratio of energies of consecutive subpulses is changed near the value of the drift. velocity close to the mean one. The timescale for the correlation between the energy and the instantaneous velocity of subpulses is approximately (1-2)R1, where P1 is the characteristic time of the change of subpulse location
