Soliton stars and black holes

Description

Solitons stars are new stellar configurations based on nontopological soliton solutions in general relativity. Depending on the particular nonlinearity of the theory, their critical mass against gravitational collapse can be much larger than a few times the solar mass. These stars and the related black-hole solutions are discussed. (author)
