Description
Some progresses made in the R and D of two Chinese decision support systems (GNRAD and QSNUCAS) and the European for nuclear emergencies(RODOS) in the last few years are presented. The technical features and functions of systems GNARD2.0, QSNUCAS1.0 and RODOS3.0 were described and compared. These systems are similarin basic functions, all of them have: (1) a complete set of consequence assessment models including wind field model, dispersion model and dose assessment model considering actual interventions; (2)a graphic user interface; (3)the capability of on-line receiving the meteorologic data; and (4) the maps and geographic database and the intergraded GIS. The differences between these systems in volve: (1)the method of weather forecast; (2) the optimization process of an intervention countermeasure; (3) the scale of assessment; and (4) the display mode and related network function
