Minimum amount of inflation to solve the flatness and horizon problems

Description
In this note we show that for natural initial conditions at the Planck time the horizon problem requires only twice as much inflation for its solution as does the flatness problem. We further argue that with these initial conditions the Universe is open rather than closed, and was dominated by gravitational curvature at the onset of inflation
