Pleuropulmonary lesions concomitant with lung tumor in the same lobe. HRCT-pathologic correlations
- 1. Niigata Univ. (Japan). School of Medicine
Description
Sixty five pleuropulmonary lesions on HRCT in 19 patients with lung tumor were correlated with pathological findings after lobectomy. These lesions were classified as nodule (n=30), pleural thickening (n=10), area of ground-glass attenuation (n=8), consolidation (n=1), linear opacity (n=8), bronchial wall thickening (n=2), bulla (n=1), and dependent density (n=5) on HRCT, which were correlated with the pathology and discussed for differential diagnosis. HRCT of the entire lobe containing tumor is useful as a preoperative evaluation. (author)
