Description
One-dimensional parabolic coordinates are introduced by a method similar to that of separation of variables in partial differential equations and an explicit form is established for an extra constant of motion analogous with the Runge-Lenz vector and responsible for the double generation of excited energy levels in a one-dimensional hydrogen atom
