Superexcited states studied by angle-resolved electron energy loss spectroscopy

Description
Absolute double differential cross section density (DDCS) spectra of NO below 135 eV and O2 below 119 eV have been determined by an angle-resolved electron-energy-loss spectrometer with an incident electron energy of 2500 eV and an energy resolution of 100 meV [full width at half maximum (FWHM)]. Some features above the first ionization threshold, which are too weak to be observed in the photoabsorption spectrum, stand out at large scattering angles. (author)
