Development of extensive air shower and Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal effect

  • 1. Hirosaki University (Japan)
  • 2. Saitama University, Urawa (Japan)

Description

Longitudinal development of EAS is calculated in the case of proton primary. As models of nuclear interaction, a quarter law multiplicity and log law multiplicity model are adopted. Electromagnetic cascade showers are calculated, taking into account of LPM effect. Transition curves of electrons in EAS with LPM effect are calculated and they are compared with the corresponding ones without LPM effect. Influence of the effect is appeared at the energy of 1012 GeV for a quarter law and 1011 GeV for log law multiplicity model
