Description
For the mixed-crystal system CdSsub(1-x)Sesub(x), the chemical composition of the samples is determined by means of an electron-beam microanalysis and correlated with the spectral intensity maximum of the band of the 1LO-satellite of the Asub(n=1)-exciton. The concentration x is calculated from the measured k-ratio by means of different correction programmes. For comparison purposes, the spectral maximum of the luminescence band, lambda, is determined by cathodo- and photoluminescence. The following relationship with the selenium concentration x is obtained to lambda = 512 + 207 x (lambda in nm). (author)
