High-resolution displacement sensor using SQUID array amplifier

  • 1. Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, CA 91109 (United States)

Description

The recently developed SQUID array amplifier's low noise amplification at a bandwidth that exceeds 5MHz. In this paper we present the design of a new displacement sensor, which makes use of a resonant amplification technique to convert the wide bandwidth into a substantially higher displacement resolution
