Major stages and trends in research started in 1955 at the All-Russian Research Institute of Chemical Technology in the field of development, research, fabrication and application of ionite membranes and membrane processes for uranium solutions are described. The development, putting into service and long-term (for over 20 years) industrial operation of membrane bipolar electrolyzers at Kirovo-Chepets Chemical Combine, their capacity 2 m3/h, for uranium (VI) reduction to uranium (IV) with 99% efficiency at uranium (VI) initial concentration of 100 g/l, are pointed out

Описаны основные этапы и направления исследований, начатых в 1955 г. во Всероссийском научно-исследовательском институте химической технологии, по разработке, исследованию, производству и использованию ионитовых мембран и мембранных процессов для переработки урановых растворов.
