Correlated np pairs from carbon nucleus p shell

Description
The 12C+γ→p+n+10B reaction is studied by the diffusion chember method in the magnetic field in the 34-150 MeV energy range. The dependence of the total cross section of the reaction on the γ-quanta energy and the relative energy distribution of the np-pairs in the intermediate energy range are measured. The conclusion is made that the main reaction mechanism is interaction of γ-quanta with a correlated np-pair of the p sheel of a carbon nucleus
