Seismic studies and design basis ground motion for nuclear facility sites
Description
The objective of this safety guide is to provide guidance on evaluating seismic hazards for a nuclear facility and approaches to determine: a) The vibratory ground motion hazards to establish the design basis ground motions and other relevant parameters. b) Correlated hazard such as, surface faulting, ground deformation, potential for liquefaction, ground failure, slope instability. c) Seismically induced flood and water waves: tsunamis, dam failure, failure of reservoir, seiches, flash floods consequent to failure of natural dams etc
