Behavior of invariant differential cross sections for production of π- mesons in nuclear interactions at 4.2 GeV/c per nucleon
- 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research
Description
The dependence on the cumulative variable is investigated for the invariant differential cross sections for production of π- mesons in collisions of deuterium and carbon nuclei with carbon and tantalum nuclei at primary momentum 4.2 GeV/c per nucleon. It is shown that the ratio of these cross sections, taken per nucleon, for various target nuclei is described by the quark-parton model of the nucleus proposed by A. M. Baldin
