Description
With scanning electron microscopic studies it has been confirmed that the solid state reaction of polycrystalline CdS and Cr2S3 starts covering the crystallites of the reactants with a layer of the reaction product CdCr2S4 spinel, as claimed in former work. The secondary electron images justify the model of spherical reaction zones. (author)
