Recent developments in the energy supply of the Federal Republic of Germany
Description
The author reviews the develpment of primary energy consumption since the first oil crisis ten years ago and the development of useful energy consumption. A survey of the development which has taken place in the transformation sector, as for instance power generation and mineral oil processing, is also presented. After discussing the part played native sources of energy such as black coal, mineral oil and brown coal in meeting the demand for supplies, the author finally expresses the opinion that further adjustment processes are to be expected in the power economy once the overall energy consumption begins to increase again.
