1.77 MeV unique first-forbidden beta transition in 166Ho

Description
The energy dependence of experimentally measured beta-gamma directional correlation for the 1776 keV first-forbidden unique beta transition in coincidence with the following gamma ray in the decay of 166Ho is compared with that of the shape factor reported by Abecasis and Krmpotic (1976). Information regarding 'second class current' is attempted. A comparison of the present experimental results with nuclear model predictions revealed that Woods-Saxon potential describes the levels reasonably well. (author)
