Disposition and late effects of inhaled 232UO2(NO3)2 and 233UO2(NO3)2 in rats

Description
Exposure to as much as 53 nCi, initial lung burden, has resulted in no adverse effects on weight gain or survival time when compared to control animals. Beyond 200 days postexposure, 233U and 232U were retained primarily in the skeleton, with lesser amounts found in lungs and kidneys. Relatively more inhaled 232U than 233U was retained in the skeleton
