Reentrant phenomena in a transverse Ising nanowire (or nanotube) with a diluted surface: Effects of interlayer coupling at the surface

Creators

Description

The phase diagrams and magnetizations of two transverse Ising nanosystems (nanowire and nanotube) with a dilution at the surface are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. In particular, the effects of interlayer coupling between the surface and the core on them are discussed for the two systems. We find that the reentrant phenomena are obtained for the two systems with pure surface, while they immediately disappear when the surface dilution has been introduced. - Highlights: • Phase diagrams and total magnetizations are examined for two TIM nanosystems. • The effects of surface parameters on them are examined by using the EFT. • Reentrant phenomena, free from the disorder, are obtained for the two systems. • The effects of surface dilution on reentrant phenomena are examined
