Chemotherapy and intensity modulated conformational radiotherapy for locally advanced pancreas cancers

  • 1. Hopital Tenon, Paris (France)
  • 2. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York (United States)

Description

The authors report a retrospective study of the tolerance and survival of 48 patients who have been treated by a chemotherapy followed by a chemotherapy concomitant with an intensity-modulated radiotherapy for a locally advanced pancreas cancer. Results are discussed in terms of toxicity, cancer response, operability, survival rate. Tolerance is good. Local control rates, global survival rates and secondary resection rates are promising.
