Fission track dating applied to the plio-pleistocene
Description
Mammal deposits of the plio-pleistocene French Massif Central have been dated by the fission track method using sphene, apatite and zircon minerals. The results confirm a greater volcanic activity registered during the pliocene period. The Massif Central volcanic history is investigated. (author)
