High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission study of Ni(1 1 0)

Description
High-resolution low-temperature angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of Ni(1 1 0) has been done along ΓKX high symmetry line to examine many body interactions of quasi-particles near the Fermi level. A kink structure at the binding energy, ∼40 meV, is clearly observed in the dispersions of the minority-spin Σ 2↓ and Σ 1↓ bands, while it is absent in the majority-spin Σ 1↑ band. Analyses of the experimentally evaluated self-energy indicate that the kink structure is derived from the electron-phonon interaction
