Description

Poly(methyl methacrylate), PMMA, Acrigel, is a amorphous polymer used in manufacture of medical supplies. PMMA when irradiated scission in main chain occur leading to the molecular degradation and yellowness of the material. In this work are shown the changes in mechanical and optical properties and molecular structure induced by radiolysis in PMMA. .(author). 11 refs., 4 figs
