Description
We use current algebra and unitarity to develop expressions for the s-wave phase shifts for ππ (isospin 2) and Kπ (isospin 3/2). The constants appearing in the parametrization can be determined from refined phase-shift phenomenology. They provide direct information about the exotic components of the sigma commutator, to which these exotic states are coupled, and thus about chiral-symmetry breaking. We illustrate in terms of a model of supplementary symmetry breaking which is of (8,8) form
