Exotic final-state interaction in deuteron break-up and ΔN threshold parameters
Description
A simple model for the final-state interaction with an intermediate Δ in deuteron break-up induced by medium-energy hadrons is formulated. Since the ΔN system is close to threshold, only the S wave is considered and the ΔN interaction is treated by the multichannel K-matrix approach in the effective-range approximation. The rough features of the experimental data for the reactions pD → npp and K+D → Ksup(o*) pp can be reproduced. (author)
