Σ+ hyperon polarization in π+p interactions at initial momentum of 3.6-4.2 GeV/c

Description
Transversal polarization is measured of Σ+ hyperon, produced in the π+p interactions at the initital momentum of 3,6-4,2 GeV/c: PΣ=0,49±0,09. Correlation is observed between hyperon polarization and K*(890) vector meson production. It is shown that the Σ+ hyperon polarization increases in the reactions with K*(890) production. Σ+ hyperon polarization in K- and π+ beams at small transferred 4-momenta has opposite signs. At high transferred 4-momenta the difference is nonsubstantial
